About Jaymie Bush
Jaymie Bush is a fully licensed clinical therapist with over 15 years of counseling experience. She received her Bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University with a dual major in Psychology and Social work and her Master's degree from Indiana University in Clinical Social Work. She began her therapeutic work in Indiana, but has been practicing in Michigan for the past 11 years.
Jaymie is equipped to treat clients with a variety of mental health concerns. Her special areas of interest include marital and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders, women's issues, grief and loss, family issues, and working with victims of trauma and abuse. She sees clients from age 6 on up and thoroughly enjoys the diversity it brings to her practice.
In session, Jaymie utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach and caters to her individual client's needs, while maintaining a large focus on cognitive behavioral models of therapy and EMDR. Jaymie practices whole-person-centered therapy, where she explores the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational aspects of an individual. She is happy to provide faith-based therapy when requested by her clients. Jaymie is currently working toward her EMDR certification.
Jaymie believes all therapeutic work begins by establishing a safe, trusting relationship between the client and therapist, and she works hard to make her clients feel comfortable. From there, Jaymie strives to encourage, equip, and empower her clients to reach their personal goals and realize their full potential.
